What’s on Dojo’s Design Radar?
Project #1 // Revisit and finalize Dojo’s brand identity
Does it align with Nucleate HQ? Do we need to differentiate ourselves more? How can we be more innovative with our brand?
- Create a brand guidelines document (example)
- Adjust design system on Figma accordingly (or build a new design system entirely)
- Finalize Dojo Branding Wiki
- Potentially create fun mascots for each of the Dojo pillar programs
Project #2 // Create a sustainable and functional system for tracking social media outreach strategies across programs
- Potentially create a fundamental/template outreach strategy document for new initiatives (where we can document captions to follow a consistent style, keep track of post deadlines and learnings from past marketing campaigns)
- Create a marketing graphic request flow (establish a process, create a request submission form)
Project #3 // Create a proposal for Dojo’s content creation
- Avenues: Substack, social media posts, etc.
- Topics: highlighting community members, program participants, biotech topics
- Interview DojoGrants scholars
Miscellaneous // Not as urgent or smaller scale projects
- Create a Dojo slide deck that fits our finalized brand identity
- Website redesign and implementation
- Design merchandise for the Dojo team and participants in different programs
- Create a Dojo magazine/newsletter to send to our supporters or just people interested in Dojo that may be interested in getting involved later (frequency TBD)
- Establish templates like Nucleate HQ has to reduce manual design work if this becomes an issue (+ just for future sustainability to reduce repetitive work)
As you can see, there are tons of things to do to grow the design team at Dojo! It’s very exciting but we understand that it can seem overwhelming as well. Every project is not expected to be completed in the next term of Dojo. These projects are simply there to guide our vision and desire to establish a strong brand and design team structure for years to come. What you’ll be working on will be prioritized according to the organizational goals and your interests!
