What is Nucleate Dojo?

Nucleate Dojo is a subsidiary of Nucleate that focusses on building a training ground for undergrads to learn about, contribute to, and find community in the field of biotechnology*. We are acutely aware of the barriers that prevent undergrads to enter and succeed in biotech, and strive to remove those barriers by changing the infrastructure in which biotech education, research, and innovation is conducted.

*Biotechnology refers to the field that uses cutting-edge tools and technologies to advance human biology and accelerate life science discovery.

Why Join Dojo Leadership?

Being a part of Dojo leadership means building life-long friendships with students around the world who are like-minded and passionate about pushing the boundaries of biotech innovation and infrastructure. We collectively believe in a world where biotech research is better funded, education is more accessible, and community is more widespread and interconnected — and try to make it happen, together.

1. Break down barriers in biotech

For many, biotech is an unconventional career path that lacks clear direction and outlook. Combining the life sciences and cutting-edge technology, it requires a specialized set of skills, network, and resources that most college institutions fail to provide to students. We hope to find people who are passionate about building that bridge through one of our three flagship programs:

DojoGrants (capital) — the first institution-agnostic, year-long grant program to help support undergraduate research projects in the life sciences, focussing on supporting students who are financially disadvantaged.

DojoExplore (open-access education) — a 5-week biotech course that is geared towards training undergraduate researchers in the fundamentals of the biotech sector and biotech venture creation, run in collaboration with student organizations on university campuses.
