Mission
The Insights and Content team acts as a critical interface between our leadership/program teams and the greater undergrad community. It aims to help our organization answer:
- What do undergrads need to enter and succeed in biotech?
- What resources and knowledge can we provide to help undergrads in their biotech journey? (e.g. getting a research role, getting a startup job, finding funding, etc.)
- What is the long-term impact that our programs have on the community?
In short, we want to democratize knowledge about biotech.
Insights — collecting, analyzing, and sharing data on the undergraduate biotech community to create more accessible, inclusive programming
Content — gathering and creating new content for the undergraduate biotech community to gain more exposure to the biotech industry (knowledge, opportunities, etc.)
On the radar
Insights
- Establish creative strategies to survey and interview a diverse sample of undergraduates on their experiences and barriers in the biotech field.
- Contribute to a peer-reviewed publication reporting on the current-state landscape of undergraduates in biotech and recommendations on how to better support the demographic.
- Implement streamlined strategies for Dojo to track the success of its core programs through data collection, analysis, and generating yearly impact reports.
- Each Insights researcher will be interfacing closely with a program team (Grants, House, Explore) to help collect data about current cohorts, alumni, and generate impact reports for future sponsors
Content
- Interface with program teams to develop playbooks, guides, documentation etc. for current or future cohorts (e.g. how to find a research position for DojoGrants)
- Interface with the design team to revamp our website + improve our online knowledge base
- Explore the idea of a Dojo magazine!! To showcase undergrad biotech work (research, essays, art, design teams)
